Avatar fan-series concept

The story takes place hundreds of years after the end of The Last Airbender. It has become commonplace for Earth benders to learn Metal Bending. Because of this the Earth Kingdom has become the most financially and technologically powerful of all of the cultures. In addition to this the current Avatar (Older age, greying hair, a natural born Earth Bender) having mastered the four elements has become corrupt and through the power of his followers and immense mastery over the elments has led the Earth Kingdom to take over the world, with him as its king.

Each culture maintains their style, heritage, and general freedom but is closely overlooked by the Avatar's henchmen. Underground resistance exists but the dangers keep it the movement too small to make a difference.

The past Avatars, always overlooking the newest one, have stripped The Avatar of his title. While still having mastery over the four elements he can no longer utilize the Avatar State, connection to the Spirit world, or other Avatar unique abilities. The Past Avatars, having stripped the current Avatar of his title, created a fork in the reincarnation chain and blessed a newborn child with the Avatar title and abilities.

It is unknown that this child is the future Avatar until later on in his life (Maybe Aang's age. Maybe younger.) when the Avatars speak to a young Earth Bender and choose him to find and guide the young Avatar, eventually leading him to overthrow and succeed the late Avatar.

The late Avatar, having predicted this since his powers were stripped, has preemptively ordered the new Avatar (Unsure of his existence) as worldwide enemy number one.

The Earth Bender destined to raise the Avatar sets out to find the new Avatar and is accompanied by his close friend, a pessimistic (possibly sarcastic) Fire Bender.
